APCOA Parking and ChargeNode are partnering to offer large-scale electric vehicle charging at parking facilities. Smart technology that reduces costs and increases sustainability.

APCOA Parkering and ChargeNode have entered into a partnership to establish electric vehicle charging capability for office properties, residences and recreational facilities.
- “APCOA together with ChargeNode are extremely excited about our newly won collaboration agreement and partnership, which we see will create new opportunities and forge a closer relationship with our current clients,” said Bo Liljequist, CEO APCOA Parking.
Through APCOA's digital platform APCOA FLOW, APCOA connects parking spaces both on streets, in garages and other places together with clients, partners, customers and their vehicles. Based on this technology, APCOA transforms its parking spaces into Urban Hubs, providing the physical and digital infrastructure for mobility, logistics, e-charging and technology-based services that are in demand today.
ChargeNode's innovative charging technology means that a centralized charging source distributes charge to many cars. Only charging outlets are installed at each parking space, so you don't have to put charging boxes everywhere. With smart sharing technology, you can keep power demand and operating costs down while the system's software ensures that all cars get the charge they need.
“It feels great to work with one of Europe's largest parking companies. Together, we will be able to accelerate the transition to a fossil-free society by enabling large-scale electric car charging at APCOA's many car parks. It is good for us, all electric car drivers, but above all for our planet. We are therefore very much looking forward to a long and important collaboration.”, says Kristian Sandahl, CEO and founder of ChargeNode.
APCOA Parkering, Europe's leading car park operator, has launched APCOA URBAN HUBS to create an integrated ecosystem for the future — ready and sustainable use of parking spaces. To develop and implement their own business models, strategic partners gain access to the physical and digital infrastructure of APCOA. Customers, on the other hand, benefit from an expanded range of innovative services and products. Finally, property owners' asset values are improving faster due to a wide range of additional uses, based on APCOA's strong network of strategic partners.
ChargeNode was founded in 2018 with the conviction that new technological solutions with smarter resource utilization are required to solve today's challenges of large-scale electrification. Today, the company is a fast-growing greentech company based in Gothenburg. The company offers smart charging systems for large-scale electric vehicle charging based on proprietary and patent-pending charging technology. By centralizing charging technology, charging can be distributed to more parking locations without the need for a separate charger at each parking location. With smart steering, e.g. at departure time, cars with short parking time can be charged first and then those that need to stand longer. Everyone gets the charge that they desire. Customers include real estate companies, condominium associations, hotels and destinations, some of which are ESS Hotell, Varberg Energi, Bygg-Göta, PGA Sweden International and Kvdbil.
