Fast charging costs — what do you pay for?

How much does it cost to fast charge?

  • The normal price as a guest is 5,50 — 6,50kr/kWh depending on the operator and location.
  • With different types of subscriptions, memberships or special promotions, the price can go down to 2.00 — 5.50 SEK/kWh.

Example: If you charge 75 kWh at 6.50 kr/kWh, it will be 490 kr for a “full tank” — which can give you up to 37.5 miles of driving.

This is how the price is set — per kWh or minute

Most Swedish fast chargers charge per kWh, but some also charge per minute when the charging speed exceeds a certain level or if you are left standing after charging is complete. It is therefore important not to stand still and occupy a seat when the car has stopped charging.

Always see current prices in the operator's appeals directly on the charger!

Differences between charging operators

The price can vary widely between operators, cities and time of day — night rates are common on some networks. Popular players: Ionity, Tesla, InCharge, More, OKQ8, Recharge and others all have different pricing and membership models.

How does ChargeNode optimize the charging cost?

Summary:

Fast charging usually costs 6.50 — 8.50 kr/kWh, but can be cheaper with the right membership. Always check prices when charging — and compare different carriers to get the best charging cost.
