The gop is betting on electric tuning!

Gop in Kungsbacka installs ChargeNode's smart charging system with 12 charging outlets. A cost-effective and sustainable solution that future-proofs electric car charging for the staff car park.

Fiberglass & Plastic Products AB in Kungsbacka are investing heavily in super-smart electric car charging systems for their employees. In order for Sweden to switch to fossil-free vehicles, investments in charging infrastructure are required. gop is now installing ChargeNode's super-smart charging system for its staff parking. ChargeNode from Gothenburg has developed a world-unique way to offer efficient electric car charging. By sharing several cars on a centralized charging center, the cost per charging outlet can be reduced and the requirement for the required power demand is reduced.

“We are constantly working on ongoing improvement work to continuously reduce our environmental impact. The fact that we have now installed a ChargeNode charger with 12 charging outlets in our staff car park here at the head office in Kungsbacka is another step in this work,” says CEO Petra Carnbäck at gop.

Building large charging systems from traditional charging poles or charging boxes is not an optimal solution in terms of utility and power requirements. An electric car rarely needs to be charged for more than 2-3h, but is normally parked much longer. With ChargeNode's smart charging system, multiple cars can share a charger. Only charging outlets are installed at the respective parking space.

“ChargeNode became the obvious choice. The system is more efficient and flexible than any other solution we have evaluated. We chose a beam installation that fits well with our parking. In addition, we can easily expand the system as the need for charging points increases,” comments Petra Carnbäck.

“Our system then optimizes and allocates charging based on parking time and charging requirements. ChargeNode creates entirely new opportunities for companies with many parking spaces such as golf clubs, property owners, hotels and conference facilities to offer electric car charging to more cars in a cost-effective way. Our solution also requires smaller electrical components, which is very beneficial from an environmental and sustainability perspective,” explains Kristian Sandahl, co-founder and CEO of ChargeNode.
