ChargeNode refines its business and launches AmpSociety with Amp5 — a new standard for scalable charging systems. Focus: international expansion and optimised operations in the Nordic region.

ChargeNode is taking the next step in its development by refining its business and strengthening its position as Sweden's leading end-to-end charging solutions provider.
By establishing AMPSociety As an independent company, conditions are created for international expansion, where the new Amp5 charging system sets a new standard for reliable, scalable and turnkey charging solutions.
ChargeNode, with over 40,000 charging points in Sweden, has built a strong presence with companies, housing associations and municipalities. Starting in 2025, ChargeNode will offer Amp5 in Sweden as part of its wide range of charging solutions.
ChargeNode and AMPSociety now become sister companies, both wholly owned subsidiaries of ChargeNode Group. This allows for a clearer focus where:
ChargeNode continues to develop and optimize its hardware-agnostic charging and payment service to offer the best charging solution on the market -- regardless of hardware. As an end-to-end supplier, ChargeNode takes responsibility for the entire charging chain — from design, installation and operation to 24/7 monitoring and support. Today ChargeNode operates in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
AMPSociety drives innovation in scalable charging systems and establishes Amp5 as a new professional standard for European charging operators and energy companies.
---- “As Sweden's largest charging operator, we know what it takes to create reliable and reliable charging points. Amp5 is the result of our combined experience and a technical milestone. It's a product that deserves an international launch,” says Niclas Wennerholm, Chairman of the Board of ChargeNode Group.
---- “By refining our business and focusing on becoming the best charging operator in the Nordic region, we at ChargeNode can fully optimise our offering — no matter what hardware the customer has or chooses to invest in,” adds Annika Abraham, CEO at ChargeNode.

The start of delivery of Amp5 will take place in April 2025, but interest is already high. ChargeNode has secured orders for over 1,500 charging points worth SEK 30 million, with customers such as Stena Fasiliteit, Hedin Group and Stockholm Exergi.
Already there are pilot installations in Gothenburg and Stockholm:
---- “ChargeNode has long been at the forefront of sustainable and optimized electric vehicle charging, making them a natural and safe partner in our quest to offer innovative energy solutions to our customers”” says Carl Lidholm, Sales Director at Stockholm Exergi.
Amp5 is based on a centralized system architecture with self-healing software and redundant connectivity, ensuring at least 99% uptime. Amp5 supports pure OCPP, which means that the customer does not get locked into the cloud service of hardware manufacturers because Amp5 can communicate directly with different charging services.
With Amp5, ChargeNode Group takes an important step forward, both technically and strategically. AmpSociety focuses on establishing Amp5 in Europe, while ChargeNode ensures optimized operations in the Nordic region.
