Källfelt Byggnads AB invests in smart electric car charging with ChargeNode. 40 charging outlets are installed in Gothenburg — a scalable and cost-effective solution for the mobility of the future.
Källfelt Byggnads AB, one of Gothenburg's largest private property owners, is now making a major investment in electric car charging together with ChargeNode.
“The demand for electric car charging at our properties has increased significantly recently and it therefore feels important to make this major investment in order to meet the needs of both tenants and visitors,” says Peter Boström, CEO at Källfelt Byggnads AB.
Initially, about 40 charging outlets will be installed at three of Källfelt's central properties at Nya Varvet, but the system is prepared to scale up to hundreds of charging points. First up is the Dockyard Hotel at Fredrik Blom's Road and soon Sven Källfelts street will also be commissioned.
“ChargeNode was the obvious choice for us in this venture. With their charging technology, we can offer large-scale electric car charging and we can easily and cost-effectively expand with more charging points as needed,” concludes Peter Boström.
ChargeNode's innovative charging technology means that multiple electric cars share on a centralized charging unit. The solution creates discrete charging points, without boxes, with only charging outlets at each parking spot. The system can scale up to hundreds of charging locations. Med smart software distributed charging so that all cars get the charge they need.
“ChargeNode's patent-pending charging technology performs very well in large visitor and tenant parking lots. With our solution, charging is centrally controlled to several parking locations. This is to be compared to traditional charging poles where a fully charged car can be parked at a pole and block charging for other electric drivers. Källfelt Byggnads AB has chosen two types of design for ChargeNode's charging solution.
In one, charging outlets are integrated directly into lighting fixtures in the parking lot, which harmonizes with the surrounding environment. In the second, Källfelt Byggnads AB has chosen ChargeNode's beam solution, which acts as a railing with charging outlets along the car park. All cable is hidden inside the railing which minimizes expensive earthworks.
In both solutions, all electrical components are protected in robust charging cabinets, creating reliability and protection against theft and damage.
ChargeNode delivers a complete solution to Källfelt Byggnads AB, which includes installation, operation, support and a cloud-based payment solution.
