Electrification is gaining momentum -- but without swift political action, development risks slowing. November shows strong figures for electric cars and plug-in hybrids, but the target for the year remains out of reach.

November was a strong month for electrification. Electric cars accounted for 40.4 per cent of new car registrations, charging hybrids for 25%, while gasoline and diesel cars continue tolose ground. But despite the upturn, the full-year share of electric cars is just 35.9%This is a long way from the 40% target. [news.cision.com]
The 2030 Secretariat warns that the switchover risks stalling if the announced electric car premium does not come into place by early next year. A total of were recorded 21,016 new passenger cars:
Among the light trucks were 26.5% electric, a clear increase from 22% in the same period last year. Heavy vehicles also show positive signs: 10.3% electric trucks and 71% electric buses was recorded in November.
We see that the market is moving in the right direction — but keeping up the pace requires both political instruments and smart charging solutions. As more people opt for electric cars, the load on the grid increases, and here's dynamicload balancing and outgo-based charging the key.
