ChargeNode wins Sweden's most complex procurement for electric car charging and assumes overall responsibility for Uppsala Parkering AB. The deal worth up to SEK 75 million strengthens sustainable mobility.
ChargeNode has won the most complex procurement that has been made in Sweden for electric car charging. When ChargeNode is given overall responsibility for Uppsala Parking AB it is their single biggest deal to date and a milestone for the company. The contract runs for 2+2 years with an expected value of 25 million.
In the coming years, ChargeNode will develop the charging infrastructure in Uppsala for UPAB (Uppsala Parkering AB). In step one, it involves taking over the operation of the municipality's existing 160 charging points in the public parking lots. The next step is to expand with new charging points, both with ChargeNode's proprietary system and charging boxes from leading manufacturers. Initially, work will begin on installing charging points at 40 of Uppsala municipality's schools, a work that should be completed in 2024.

The cooperation agreement extends over 2+2 years and means that ChargeNode gets overall responsibility for the charging infrastructure in Uppsala. This includes design, installation & commissioning of charging stations, cloud service, payment service, ongoing operation and maintenance, support and service.
Uppsala Parkering AB is a municipal corporation owned by Uppsala Stadshus AB. The company works in the long term to contribute to an accessible, sustainable and attractive Uppsala by providing good parking and mobility solutions for the municipality's residents and visitors. Uppsala Parkering manages all parking on public street land in Uppsala Municipality. Approximately 25,000 parking spaces on street land and about 2,500 spaces on municipal neighborhood land. The company also operates the parking facilities Centralgaraget, Dansmester and Kvarnengaraget. Facilities with a total of over 1,200 parking spaces. Another 700 parking spaces are under construction and are due to be completed by 2024
