JULA chooses ChargeNode for smart electric car charging at headquarters, hotels and department stores in Skara. 50 charging points with scalable technology for the sustainable mobility of the future.

JULA, one of Sweden's leading retail chains, selects ChargeNode as a supplier of smart electric car charging to several of its facilities.
JULA installs ChargeNode's smart charging system at headquarters, JULA Hotell and Konferens, and at JULA's department store in Skara. Initially, there are about 50 charging points, but ChargeNode's system is prepared to scale up to hundreds of charging points as demand increases.
“We see that there is a demand for this type of service among our visitors and employees. These types of solutions are part of our work with sustainability and employer branding. This is a prerequisite for remaining competitive as an employer,” says Joachim Frykberg, CEO at JULA.
ChargeNode's innovative charging technology means that multiple electric cars share on a centralized charging unit. The solution creates discrete charging points, without charging boxes, with only charging outlets at each parking spot. The system can scale up to hundreds of charging locations. With smart software, charging is distributed so that all cars get the charge they need.
“We are incredibly proud that JULA has chosen ChargeNode as its supplier. In our conversations, they have consistently impressed with their knowledge of how to tackle the challenge of large-scale electric car charging at their facilities. It therefore feels extra fun that they chose our charging technology and we are very much looking forward to the continued cooperation.” says Kristian Sandahl, CEO and founder of ChargeNode.
JULA installs two different types of charging systems. In one, charging outlets are integrated directly into lighting bollards in the parking lot, harmonizing with the surrounding environment. In the second, JULA has chosen ChargeNode's best-selling beam solution, which is a recycled aluminum railing with integrated charging outlets. All cable is hidden inside railing, which minimizes expensive earthworks.
In both solutions, all electrical components are protected in robust electrical cabinets, creating reliability and protection against theft and damage.
ChargeNode delivers a complete solution to JULA that includes installation, operation, support and a cloud-based payment solution.
ChargeNode was founded in 2018 with the conviction that new technological solutions with smarter resource utilization are required to solve today's challenges of large-scale electrification. Today, the company is a fast-growing greentech company based in Gothenburg. The company offers smart charging systems for large-scale electric vehicle charging based on proprietary and patent-pending charging technology. By centralizing charging technology, charging can be distributed to more parking locations without the need for a separate charger at each parking location. With smart steering, e.g. at departure time, cars with short parking time can be charged first and then those that need to stand longer. Everyone gets the charge that they desire. Customers include real estate companies, condominium associations, hotels and destinations, some of which are ESS Hotell, Varberg Energi, Bygg-Göta, PGA Sweden International and Kvdbil.
