Today, Sweden's largest charging station at Hills is inaugurated

More and more people are choosing electric cars today, but finding free charging is rarely easy. The few places available are often occupied by cars that are already fully loaded. Additional sites with dedicated poles are usually not possible to install due to the investment cost required, or because the capacity of the grid is exhausted. ChargeNode has solved the problem and Hills Golf & Sports Club Mölndal today becomes both the first and largest golf clubs in Sweden with the solution, which offers 133 places for environmentally friendly charging for club members and guests.

The system inaugurated today at Hills is smart, innovative and worry-free and allows charging in all parking spaces. The system, which was invented and delivered by the Gothenburg company Chargenode, is also flexible and easily expandable to far more locations where there is a need. The golf club gets a dynamic, worry-free solution that distributes charging between parked cars without all outlets being turned on all the time. Hills will be the first in Sweden to be able to offer charging for such a large number of cars, to the delight of the increasing number of electric car visitors to the club.

“We set up simple sockets in each parking space, neatly integrated into the lighting fixture. The system is significantly smarter than individual charging poles and creates many more available outlets at lower cost. In addition, it is possible to create an attractive outdoor environment by allowing the equipment to blend perfectly into the existing environment. The need for electric car charging is constantly increasing in society and especially among many of our visitors. Thanks to ChargeNode's smart system, we can offer our visitors worry-free charging while at the club, so that the car is fully refueled just in time for the ride again,” comments Mats Sterner, CEO Hills Golf & Sports Club.

“Our system makes the most efficient use of the power grid capacity and optimally controls charging for the connected cars. The system provides both 22kW and 7kW outlets. You set the time to go and the system ensures that your car receives the required amount of electricity. ChargeNode's system is completely unique and creates great opportunities for facilities with many parking spaces such as office buildings/workplaces, golf clubs, hotels and condominium associations to offer electric car charging to many in a cost-effective way.
