ESS Group charges for electric tuning

ESS Group chooses ChargeNode's innovative charging technology for Ellery Beach House in Stockholm. 30 stylish charging points provide guests with smart and sustainable electric car charging.

ESS Group selects ChargeNode's innovative charging technology to offer stylish and smart electric car charging at its destinations.

First up is ESS Group's new love, Ellery Beach House, which now boasts 30 stylish charging spots in its guest parking lot.

“We create holistic experiences for our guests and every detail is important, including electric car charging. We are extremely excited to be able to offer our guests a really stylish and smart charging solution together with ChargeNode for the growing number of guests coming by electric car to our destinations,” says Carl Lundgren, Brand Director & Partner at ESS Group.

At Ellery Beach House in Stockholm, there are now 30 charging outlets neatly integrated into a black railing along the guest car park, creating a stylish and integrated charging solution in harmony with the rest of the hotel's aesthetics.

'Putting ordinary plastic charging boxes in our fancy car park was never an option. ChargeNode was therefore a no-brainer as in our opinion their technology is completely superior both from an aesthetic and functional point of view,” Carl Lundgren concludes.

ChargeNode's innovative charging technology means that many electric cars share a centralized and powerful charging unit. The solution creates stylish and minimalistic charging points without charging boxes where only charging outlets are placed at each parking space. The system can scale to hundreds of charging locations. With smart software, charging is distributed so that all cars get the charge they need. ChargeNode delivers a complete solution to ESS Group that includes installation, operation, support and cloud-based payment solution.

“Ellery Beach House is a perfect example of why ChargeNode's centralized charging technology with smart sharing is the future. Their guests are usually parked 24h but an electric car only needs to charge 1-3h. With traditional charging poles, these would be left unused about 90% of the day,” says Kristian Sandahl, CEO and founder of ChargeNode.

“It feels really fun to be part of ESS Group's exciting destination journey and we look forward to rolling out our solution to more of their great destinations,” concludes Kristian Sandahl.

About ChargeNode

ChargeNode was founded in 2018 with the conviction that new technological solutions with smarter resource utilization are required to solve today's challenges of large-scale electrification. Today, the company is a fast-growing greentech company based in Gothenburg. The company offers smart charging systems for large-scale electric vehicle charging based on proprietary and patent-pending charging technology. By centralizing charging technology, charging can be distributed to more parking locations without the need for a separate charger at each parking location. With smart steering, e.g. at departure time, cars with short parking time can be charged first and then those that need to stand longer. Everyone gets the charge that they desire. Customers include real estate companies, condominium associations, hotels and destinations, some of which are ESS Hotell, Varberg Energi, Bygg-Göta, PGA Sweden International and KVD Bil.
