Ebeco installs 16 charging outlets with ChargeNode's smart and scalable charging system. A sustainable solution that combines innovative electric car charging with aesthetic design.
The family business Ebeco is one of Scandinavia's leading companies in electric underfloor heating, antifreeze and other heating solutions for construction sites and industries. Together with ChargeNode, they are now taking another step in the company's sustainability development, offering innovative electric car charging to its visitors.
“Being able to offer our visitors smart electric car charging and at the same time continue to drive Ebeco's long-term sustainability work was one of the major drivers of this initiative together with ChargeNode,” says Kristian Larsson at Ebeco.
At Ebeco's headquarters, ChargeNode has installed 16 charging outlets in lighting fixtures in the parking lot, which harmonizes with the surrounding environment. All electrical components are protected in a robust charging cabinet, which creates reliability and protection against theft and damage.
“The collaboration between ChargeNode and Ebeco is really exciting as Ebeco has been at the forefront of electrification for a long time. Like us, they work with new innovative solutions,” says Kristian Sandahl, CEO at ChargeNode.
ChargeNode's patent-pending charging technology means many electric cars share on a centralized charging unit. The solution creates discrete charging points where only charging outlets are placed at each parking location. The system can scale to hundreds of charging locations. With smart software, charging is distributed so that all cars get the charge they need. This way you don't have to install expensive charging boxes in every parking space.
“An electric car rarely needs to charge more than 1-3h but is often parked significantly longer. With traditional charging poles, the utilization rate is therefore very low. With our technology, we instead share many parking spaces on a charging cabinet, which provides high utilization rates while also lowering the power demand in the property. This therefore results in a lower total cost compared to traditional charging poles,” concludes Kristian Sandahl.
ChargeNode was founded in 2018 with the conviction that new technological solutions with smarter resource utilization are required to solve today's challenges of large-scale electrification. Today, the company is a fast-growing greentech company based in Gothenburg. The company offers smart charging systems for large-scale electric vehicle charging based on proprietary and patent-pending charging technology.
