Sweden's largest operator in district heating is now expanding its customer offer with electric car charging. Stockholm Exergi and ChargeNode join forces and create a comprehensive solution that will facilitate the charging of electric cars for Stockholm Exergis customers.
With thousands of BRFs, property owners and both private and public companies as customers, Stockholm Exergi is Sweden's largest provider of district heating and cooling. But they are much more than that, they have a range of services and solutions to help customers optimise their energy use and improve energy efficiency. A demanded part of the offer is electric car charging and to guarantee a stable and safe solution they have turned to ChargeNode.

— “We have scanned the market based on a variety of criteria,” says Carl Lidholm, Sales Director at Stockholm Exergi.
“We are very pleased that the collaboration with ChargeNode has now been unlocked. Thanks to their innovative charging solution, we can offer our customers a sustainable and scalable way to electrify their parking spaces while optimizing electricity usage. It is an important piece of the puzzle in our ambition to be our customers' energy partner. At the same time, we want to contribute to the Stockholm region's increased electrification and thus reduce the impact on the climate.”
“The fact that Stockholm Exergi sees the potential in our products and software is proof that our integrated ecosystem is a safe and long-term solution for large-scale electric vehicle charging,” says Kristian Sandahl CEO and founder of ChargeNode.
“We will adapt our charging and payment service with Stockholm Exergi's Intelligy platform, which is developed to simplify and streamline energy use in a property.”

“Stockholm Exergi will offer ChargeNodes hardware to its customers, they take total responsibility for the design and installation that takes place with installers they have signed contracts with. In connection with the installation, we sign a charging and payment service agreement with the customer,” explains Kristian Sandahl.
Stockholm Exergi has a vision to be the customer's energy partner and given that they carry out more than 1,000 energy consultations for companies and BRFs every year with the aim of bringing together services that make energy consumption more efficient, there will be a great demand for a safe solution for electric car charging. And there ChargeNode is a stable and long-term partner.
Stockholm Exergi is the hub of Stockholm's infrastructure for energy supply via district heating and waste management. The distribution network provides their customers with heat and cold and ensures the electricity demand in the region. Today, more than 800,000 Stockholmers and more than 400 hospitals, data halls and other private and public facilities are connected to the district heating network, which in turn is connected to Stockholm Exergi's heating and cogeneration plants.
