BRF Täckdiket 4 is the first in the world with the new ChargeNode Power Light

In late September 2023, ChargeNode launched in partnership with atelier Lyktan its new product ChargeNode Power Light — a combination of smart electric car charging and lighting that creates carefree and safer parking spaces. Now the first installation has become a reality and the first one was the housing association Täkkdiket 4 in Mölndal.

After extensive development work in collaboration with atelier Lyktan, ChargeNode is able to present a brand new lighting bollard for electric car charging. Housing Association Täckdiket 4 Mölndal was the first to install the new model, a total of 12 charging and lighting bollards with a total of 46 charging points. An excellent choice according to Mikhail Kalkov and Marc McMaster who ran the project in the association: “We did a review of the range of charging stations and we fell for this solution quite quickly. They are stylish and we get extra lighting that increases both the aesthetic expression and the security of the parking lot.

“When installing a new product for the first time, there are of course some challenges,” says Martin Lindahl, Technical Project Manager R&D at ChargeNode. This installation was mainly characterized by a lack of time. Originally we were going to install our previous model, but as it approached we saw that there would be a chance to get the new bollards out before the time for the association's grant application expired. And we were able to, thanks to the collaboration with atelier Lyktan who have been incredibly flexible and WK EL who took care of the installation itself.

In a short time, the new lighting bollard has become a small snack in the industry and already now the demand is high, both in Sweden and abroad. ChargeNode Power Light is truly a perfect combination of smart function and stylish design. The best of both worlds. It charges up to 22kW and is available with either two or four outlets. Charging is easily controlled via a smart app. With a timer, the customer can schedule the lighting himself and in the portal administer users, prices and possible discounts and keep track of the charging statistics (amount of charge kWh, charging sessions, etc.). ChargeNode monitors operation and secures uptime at the charging facility. Since the lighting is also dimmable, it can be adapted to different lighting conditions. The result is a welcoming and safe parking environment that does not dazzle those who park.
