Two years ago, the ChargeNode charging beam was installed at BRF Lovisedal 1 in order to provide electric vehicle charging at all garage locations. So how has it worked out?
— It has worked perfectly. We have not had any complaints or technical difficulties,” says Rolf Lind, board member of the housing association.
BRF Lovisedal 1 faced a common dilemma when the demand for electric car charging began to increase. The association had some traditional charging boxes in specific garage locations, but that was not enough for the growing need.
“We realised that the need for electric car charging will increase over time, but also that we cannot predict which places could become relevant,” explains Rolf Lind, Chairman of the Board of the Housing Association.
The old solution posed major practical problems. When members with electric cars needed charging facilities, cars were moved and contracts rewritten were required — creating additional work for both the association and the members.
The choice fell on ChargeNode's charging beam, a smart solution that enabled electrification of all garage spaces in a cost-effective way. The system can be scaled up as more electric cars need charging, and ChargeNode takes care of all the practical handling of charges.
“After two years in operation, we can conclude that technically the system has worked perfectly. We have had no complaints or technical difficulties,” says Rolf Lind. The installation work was carried out very professionally and the schedule was kept.
