Brf Lars Kaggsgatan 45 in Gothenburg installed 11 charging boxes with ChargeNode. Read how they succeeded with the project and get tips on safety, grants and future assurance for BRF.

We asked 5 questions to Christian Åhs, Chairman of Brf Lars Kaggsgatan 45 in Gothenburg, which installed 11 charging boxes for its members with ChargeNode, which means that all parking lots in the BRF now offer charging facilities.
The market has grown around electric car charging providers and today there are many companies to choose from. How did you choose ChargeNode?
“You had a competitive price at the same time that both salespeople, project managers and technicians were very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. You also had the opportunity to quote for the entire project including digging, etc., in addition to installation and electrical wiring for the charging boxes. We were very pleased with the portal solution for invoicing to the users that you offer and that it would thus be extremely carefree for us on the board to manage the ongoing operations.
What type of installation did you choose for your association and why?
“We chose to install 11 Zaptec charging boxes because it suited our needs best. Although not everyone in the association has an electric car at the moment, we chose to equip ourselves for the future.
How has it been working with ChargeNode during the project from contract to deployed system?
— Very simple! Throughout the project we received good updates on the process and timetables and continuous follow-up from the vendor. After installation, we got very good guides and process descriptions to how the operation of the system is managed through the portal, how we can set prices, add users, etc. It makes it very easy for future boards to take over. We also received very good help with how to apply for the grant from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency
How has ChargeNode's charging and payment service worked for you in the association?
— The members who have used the service think it has worked great!
What would you recommend others to consider who are faced with investing in charging points for their association? What is important to consider?
— Choose charging systems with care and not just by wallet. The charging box we chose was recommended by ChargeNode, a bit more expensive than other charging boxes we have been offered by other companies but would be a safer option. And luckily it was when one of the other charging boxes we had been offered by another company was banned because it did not meet Swedish safety requirements.
Thanks for the talk, Christian!
