Through conscious and long-term choices The Blue House created a property focused on reducing our resource consumption. One piece of the puzzle in this work was to install electric car charging for employees, customers and visitors.
At an early stage, the Blue House understood that there was a great need for electric car charging, which was also consistent with the office's conscious environmental profile. It became a major issue.
“We are aware of our impact on both the environment and climate,” says Mattias Feldt at Blå Huset. That is why it is important that we are at the forefront. Within five years, 80% of service cars will be hybrid or electric cars. This was also the reason why we chose to install 53 charging points with integrated sockets in our parking lot. By creating the possibility of electric car charging in as many places as possible, customers do not have to move their cars around during working hours.

“The work from the agreement until we were able to deploy the system with different design solutions of charging for electric cars went very smoothly,” continues Mattias. And our customers appreciate it. The customer portal gives us a good overview. And the app is very easy to use for our employees and visitors.
We have secured ourselves for the future in a smart way. Providing many charging stations is needed in the future. It will be a matter of course that electric car charging will be offered in workplaces. Then the electricity companies also need to expand their networks, and that is a challenge.

Blå Huset is located in Lockarp just outside Malmö, a newly built office with a vision to be Malmö's most modern and environmentally efficient office, in an area that is experiencing tremendous growth. It has its challenges, ranging from material selection to energy use and the ability for those who work and visit the office to contribute to reducing the long-term burden on our environment. Blå Huset AB owns the property. One of their tenants is APQ El AB who are electrical installers and of course place high demands on both efficiency, ease of use and design.
