What is the difference between AC and DC charging?

DC charging (fast charging): Works with significantly higher power, from 50 kW up to 350 kW. DC chargers are mainly available at public charging stations, depots or transport hubs where fast refilling is required. The charge then goes directly to the battery, reducing the charging time to 15—40 minutes for 80% depending on the car and charger.
