“Personal data” means any information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a natural person who is alive. Charge Node Europé AB is the data controller for the data that you provide via www.chargenode.eu, via use of our services or that is obtained by us from another source. At Charge Node Europé AB, personal data is always processed with great respect for personal integrity. Below is a description of the guidelines that Charge Node Europé AB applies, how we handle and store the information and what rights you have. The guidelines never restrict the rights that apply under the Data Protection Regulation or other legally binding provision. The information on this page applies to Charge Node Europé AB and to the website www.chargenode.eu, unless otherwise stated. For further information on personal data processing etc. within other companies owned by Charge Node Europé AB, please refer to the respective companies and their websites.
Usually, www.chargenode.eu can be visited without collecting personal data. We only collect information that is used for statistical purposes and the visitor remains anonymous. Examples of such information are the time of the visit, how long the visit lasts and which pages are visited. Charge Node Europé AB also uses so-called “cookies” to ensure that functions and services on the website work properly.
When you as a customer visit Charge Node Europé AB’s logged-in services, the visit can be linked to the logged-in person’s customer number. This enables Charge Node Europé AB to provide more relevant and personalized communication to individual customers.
The categories of personal data that we typically collect are:
Customer information – that is, the information needed to become and be a customer with us. Examples are name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, social security number, organization number, bank details, vehicle registration number, GPS position and other user data from our services.
Purchase information – i.e. products and services purchased, credit rating, payment history, customer number and password.
Technical information – electricity and network supplier, installation number and type of connection.
Service information – i.e. correspondence on specific issues, details of purchases and any complaints or claims. Responses to customer surveys and feedback about our goods and services. Where applicable, data provided in the context of competitions or other customer loyalty programs.
Demographic information (from public registers) – i.e. age, gender, living area, household composition, etc. Visitor information on logged-in services – i.e. purchase and user-generated data, passwords, technical data regarding the device used, interaction data (visit time, response times, how you access and leave the service, etc.) Special categories of personal data (defined in Article 9(1) of the GDPR) are only processed in exceptional cases. For the processing of personal data in these cases, we need to obtain your consent. There are also occasions when we are required by law to collect and process this type of sensitive personal data.

We only collect personal data for purposes that are supported by the applicable data protection regulation. The most common is that the data is collected for processing on the legal basis of performance of contract. The purposes are, for example, for marketing and profiling, i.e. to communicate relevant offers to our customers.

We also process personal data if this is necessary to fulfil our or third parties’ legitimate interest in analysing user data from our services in order to further develop and improve our/third parties’ services.
Other purposes for our processing of personal data may have their legal basis in various legal requirements, i.e. where we must fulfill a legal obligation, examples of such purposes are the processing of personal data under the Accounting Act for invoicing or when we convey information about changed contract terms. You can also give consent to processing in certain cases where none of the above applies. A given consent is an active action from you and this can be revoked. We will then not process your personal data further for that purpose.
As Charge Node Europé AB has subsidiaries with group-wide functions, your personal data may be disclosed to other companies within the group. Such companies may also process your data for the purpose of providing offers and marketing regarding products and services that may interest you.
Under certain circumstances, we may also transfer personal data to data processors, partners or other third parties. For example, user data in the form of the vehicle registration number may be shared with individual parking companies when charging takes place in charging outlets/systems at the Customer in order to further develop and improve the Customer’s services.
In the event of disclosure, Charge Node Europé AB will take into account the specific laws and other provisions governing unbundling between electricity trading companies and electricity network companies (so-called “unbundling rules. In certain cases, we may be obliged to disclose personal data to, for example, the police, for crime prevention measures and criminal investigations, as required by law and official decisions.
Personal data is not normally disclosed to companies in countries outside the EU or EEA. In certain situations, however, the data may be transferred to, and processed in, a country outside the EU/EEA by a company within the Charge Node Europé AB Group or by another supplier or subcontractor. In these cases, a special investigation is always made to ensure that there are safeguards, such as data transfer agreements, in place so that the recipients process the data at a comparable level to the protection offered within the EU/EEA.
Only those who need access to the personal data to perform the agreed service are authorized to access and handle them. We have several subcontractors who handle personal data to varying degrees and they have the same requirements for handling as Charge Node Europé AB has internally.
We do not keep personal data longer than necessary. Once the contract has ended and you are no longer our customer, we keep your data for 36 months. The same applies to contact details of our business customers. However, some data may need to be kept for longer to comply with other legal requirements, such as the Accounting Act where we need to keep data for 7 years. There are also reasons to save the data for a longer period if there is an ongoing investigation or a dispute, even if the customer relationship has already ended, or in cases where you have purchased a product from us where we need to save the data to be able to fulfill our warranty commitment.
We take specific physical, technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data processed against loss, destruction, manipulation or access by unauthorized persons. These measures are designed to ensure a level of security appropriate to the technical possibilities available. Changes to personal data are continuously recorded to ensure traceability of any changes that occur to the information. Personal data incidents are reported internally and by our subcontractors. These are handled in an internal process and, in relevant cases (if there is a high risk to the rights and freedoms of the individual), are reported to the Swedish Data Protection Authority within 72 hours and to the person who has lost their information in accordance with the rules laid down in the Data Protection Act. Data breaches are also reported to the police.
a. Right of access
Everyone has the right to obtain information about the extent to which personal data concerning him or her is processed by Charge Node Europé AB. If such personal data is held by Charge Node Europé AB, the person concerned will, upon request, receive information about which categories of personal data are processed, where they have been obtained, for what purpose or purposes the processing is carried out, what legal basis exists and to whom the data is disclosed. The person requesting information must be able to identify themselves. Charge Node Europé AB will send a response to the address registered with Charge Node Europé AB within one month of the request being received.
b. Right of rectification
Everyone has the right to request correction of their own customer information if it is inaccurate or processed in violation of applicable law.
c. Right to erasure
Charge Node Europé AB deletes personal data when there is no legal basis for retaining the data. Our customers have the right to have their personal data deleted immediately if any of the following apply:

Charge Node Europé AB does not apply automated decision-making in any area to the data subject.
e. Right to restriction of processing
In certain cases, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted. This applies, for example, if you consider that the personal data is incorrect and you have requested rectification. While the investigation is ongoing, you can request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.
f. Entitlement to compensation
You may be entitled to compensation in certain cases, for example, if our processing of your personal data has caused you harm. Claims can be made directly to Charge Node Europé AB.

For further information on personal data processing etc. within subsidiaries of Charge Node Europé AB, please refer to the respective companies and to their websites. h. Amendments to the personal data policy
If there are any changes to Charge Node Europé AB’s policy for handling personal data, this will be announced on this page. For example, the policy may be amended if legislation or application changes. However, if the processing of personal data has been regulated in an agreement with a customer, the contractual provisions will apply until they are amended, unless this conflicts with your rights as set out above or is incompatible with the law or other legally binding provision.
